🪵 Chip & Shred Recap — Great Success!

Our spring chip and shred event wrapped up smoothly, finishing in just a day and a half. Thanks to everyone who participated and helped make it such a quick turnaround!

A note for next year's brush piles: To help the chipping crew work efficiently, please keep these guidelines in mind when cutting and stacking:

• Leave branches at their full length — the longer the better. Anything under a 2 feet is too short to chip effectively.

• Maximum length is 10 feet.

• Do not leave a "Y" fork at the bottom of branches. We end up having to cut these into 2 pieces as they get too wide for the chipper.

Going forward, the dumpster will be offered every other year, while chipping will continue annually.

🔥 Wildfire Partners Update

Our partners at Wildfire Partners may be facing some budgetary constraints, so there is currently a pause on new events from their side. We'll keep you posted as we learn more.

And keep an eye out for a more formal fall gathering later in the season.

🚗 Safety Improvement: New Guard Rail Mirror

We have purchased a large mirror to place at the guard rail to improve visibility around that tricky corner. A small but meaningful safety upgrade for our road. We will be installing it in the coming weeks.

👋 Welcome New Neighbors!

The welcome committee has been busy! If you see a new face on the road, give them a wave — we have some wonderful additions to the community coming our way!
