The slides covered a wide range of topics, with especially strong focus on fire mitigation, community safety, water and wells, finances, and practical steps residents can take to care for their properties and the surrounding landscape. Two topics stood out: mountain pine beetles and goats for weed control. The mountain pine beetle presentation explained why this insect remains a serious threat to Colorado pines, what signs to watch for, and how prevention and tree care can help protect valuable trees.

The meeting also highlighted innovative weed-management options, including using goats as a low-impact and highly visible way to reduce vegetation and support broader fire mitigation efforts.
