Frequently Asked Topics
HOA aka Residents Group
Crestview has no HOA, but there is a residents group. We ask residents to contribute $25 annually to the Crestview Estates Residents Group (CERG) for neighborhood projects and activities. CERG membership is voluntary and encouraged to cover community projects.
CERG (Crestview Estates Residents' Group, Inc.) is a Colorado non-profit corporation. A voluntary group of residents form a Board of Director's and is elected every 2 years. Please feel free to contact us with questions or comments at Crestview.CERG@gmail.com
New buyers
New residents are encouraged to join our neighborhood email list and community directory by emailing crestview.cerg@gmail.com with their name, address, email, and phone number. Participation is optional.
A welcoming committee member introduces themselves to new neighbors, offering a personal contact for questions, and directs them to our Welcome information post (it can be printed too).
Covenants and By-Laws
The Crestview Protective Covenants were established in 1966 and 1967. Copies are available fom the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder.
We also post them on this site for quick access: Protective Covenant and By-Laws
Covenants are not enforced by CERG but typically are enforced by individual property owners with other property owners.
The covenants include an Architectural Control Committee (crestview.acc@gmail.com) that approves related construction within the community.
Snow plowing
We are considered priority 3 with Boulder County but as there are school buses that come through the neighborhood we are plowed relatively well.
Wildlife
Living in a rural community, residents must follow Colorado guidance to live with nature in Crestview to avoid negative wildlife interactions. More information is available in the our Welcome information post (it can be printed too).
Common wildlife includes deer, hawks, and turkeys, with occasional sightings of bears, mountain lions, moose, bobcats, owls, and foxes.
Wildfires
We actively promote the Boulder County program of Wildfire Partners. We encourage residents to at least have an assessment done by Wildlife Partners. We also conduct annual fire mitigation activities. And we have a close relationship with the Lefthand Fire Protection District.
