Crestview Overview

Crestview Estates was established in 1966–1967 and sits at the southwest corner of US Highway 36 and Lefthand Canyon Drive, just north of Boulder. The community includes around 150 custom homes on lots averaging 1.5 acres of natural landscape.

Protective Covenants

The original Protective Covenants were recorded in 1966 and 1967 and automatically renew every 10 years. They’ve never been modified, but can be changed by majority vote of property owners.

Architectural Control Committee (ACC)

The Covenants establish an Architectural Control Committee (ACC), currently made up of three residents. If you’re planning a remodel, addition, or exterior project, email the committee at:

Residents’ Group History

Incorporated in 1993 as the Crestview Estates Property Owners Association, Inc., the name changed in 2010 to Crestview Estates Residents Group (CERG) to better reflect our inclusive, community focus.

CERG has no enforcement authority—it’s all about cooperation, community, and connection.

🥾 Private Hiking Trails

We’re lucky to have several private trails open only to residents—thanks to generous neighbors who share access.

Trail Etiquette:

  • Stay on trails and respect private property

  • Don’t share routes publicly (e.g., Strava)

  • Pack out all trash — Leave No Trace

Trailheads are marked:

All roads are Boulder County maintained. Please:

♻️ Trash, Recycling & Compost

Local haulers include Western Disposal and One Way Disposal.

Bear-proof bins are strongly recommended.

Please: Set trash out the morning of pickup— never the night before —so our bears don't become human food trained.
