Attendees: Brad, Seth, Brenton, Hubert, Hope

The Board held its February CERG meeting on the 24th. During the meeting the following items of community importance were addressed.

First, and most importantly, the Board is requesting responses to our poll concerning the timing and location of our Spring Meeting. (link here) Please share your input and the Board will do its best to book the preferred date and venue.

Other topics of community concern we discussed:

  • Spring Meeting Planning:  The primary topic this year will focus on pine beetles. The Board is requesting Colorado State Forest to come speak to us about beetle identification, preventions and remediation. Traditionally, pine beetles come out in June therefore the Board is looking to schedule the spring meeting with enough time for remediation work prior to June.

  • Traffic and Safety Measures: The Boulder County website for rural communities traffic calming initiatives won't be available until late 2026/early 2027. The Board is looking at acquiring a few more traffic signs to post within the neighborhood to gently remind drivers to chech their speed until information from the county is available. A board member has also applied to be part of the North Foothills Bikeway project to keep us up to speed on the possible impacts to our entrance.

  • Website Communications:  Look for future blog contributions from the Board as we are getting up to speed with the new website. Currently there are posts related to the fall dumpster roll off program and weed brigade information for the approaching spring. Thank you to all that contributed.

  • Water Testing: A number of board members have conducted water tests for general well and PFAS information. Thus far, everything is looking good for our wells. We will be creating a blog post for this and request others to share their results so we can get a overall water quality picture for Crestview. There is a free program for PFAS testing if anyone wants to utilize it (link here).
